The Sanjiangyuan national park system pilot was launched in Qinghai as the first national park system pilot in China. On October 12, 2021, the list of the first batch of national parks was announced, including Sanjiangyuan National Park, giant panda National Park, northeast tiger and leopard National Park, Hainan Tropical Rain Forest National Park and Wuyishan National Park.
